It's still called Winning Eleven in the US. Made me wanted to kiss my TV, pull my shirt off and run around.ĭon't confuse the lad. For example, I pulled off the famous Gazza goal against Scottland (flick ball over the head, run around defender, volley) the other day against computer. But once you do pull one (spectacular move) off, all your practices seems worth it and the joy is immeasurable (JLRL x 3). However, in WE, spectacular moves are deemed unnecessary (just like real life, or JLRL henceforth), and difficult to pull off unless you have done a lot of practice (JLRL x 2). Solo goal-scoring and double digits goal tally per match are not uncommon too.

Seriously, there's nothing wrong with an unrealistic soccer game, as long as it's fun. Most of my real-life friends got hooked along with me, and we'd have day long tournaments time and time again. Video game soccer reached it's pinnacle for me with FIFA2003. the FIFA franchise, but I never got into WE7 when I tried it. I understand the draw of the Winning Eleven franchise vs.
